The firm
Utah Trust & Estate Litigation Lawyers
TMoss Law is a Utah litigation firm built around one kind of dispute: what happens to a family’s assets when a trust, a will or an estate is contested.
Why a firm that does only this
Trust and estate litigation sits awkwardly inside a general practice. It needs the forensic patience to read a decade of account statements, and the courtroom appetite to try the case when the other side will not move. Doing it exclusively is what makes both possible.

Founding attorney
Tyler J. Moss
A former law partner at a national Am Law 100 firm, Mr. Moss is a zealous advocate for his clients both in and out of court.
From pre-lawsuit, through trial, and on appeal, he regularly navigates his clients through all aspects of civil litigation matters ranging from trust and estate disputes, real estate matters, construction defects, business and partnership disputes, breaches of contract, employment matters, personal injury, and professional negligence. Mr. Moss thoroughly enjoys representing businesses, families, and individuals to protect their assets and long-standing legacies through diplomatic strategies and innovative alternative dispute resolutions.
Throughout his career, Mr. Moss has assisted scores of clients to collectively settle over $100 million worth in trust and estate assets. He regularly litigates multi-million-dollar trusts, wills, and estate disputes. He represents fiduciaries, such as trustees, successor trustees, executors, and personal representatives as well as beneficiaries and heirs. Mr. Moss is equipped to challenge wills and trusts and to defend trustees against contests to estate instruments on the grounds of undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, fraud, or lack of compliance with proper will or trust formalities.
He aids trustees to avoid the pitfalls of trust administration and to defend against claims for breach of fiduciary duty, failure to report or account to beneficiaries, violation of prudent investor acts, theft, trustee removal actions, and related conflicts involved in complex family and business structures. He has a proven track record of court victories and successfully resolving longstanding and highly contentious disputes through creative settlements. Mr. Moss relishes in protecting family and business assets and legacies.
